Remoaners beware
I used to think Beaconsfield was most famous for it’s delightful model village, Bekonscot, where my parents took me as a child, and where I took my own children. And in fact, here’s a plug for Bekonscot which is so delightful that everyone should visit at least once in their life-time. https://www.bekonscot.co.uk/
But now Beaconsfield serves as a beacon to all of us: because they are now most famous for slaying the Giant Remoaner Dominic Grieve – the man who decreed that democracy really, really wasn’t a case of people voting under controlled conditions, the votes being honestly counted, and then the issue or person with the most votes being the winner.
Well, he was wrong there – because he’s just experienced the sharp end of democracy: when more people voted to see the back of him than want him to “remain”.
