Willful blindness / willful ignorance
Ignorance of the law, not knowing what you should know. Are the Stronger in & remain camp guilty of this?
Willful blindness (sometimes called ignorance of law, willful ignorance or contrived ignorance or Nelsonian knowledge) is a term used in law to describe a situation in which an individual seeks to avoid civil or criminal liability for a wrongful act by intentionally putting his or herself in a position where he or she will be unaware of facts that would render him or her liable.
For example, in a number of cases, persons transporting packages containing illegal drugs have asserted that they never asked what the contents of the packages were and so lacked the requisite intent to break the law.
Such defenses have not succeeded, as courts have been quick to determine that the defendant should have known what was in the package and exercised criminal recklessness by failing to find out.
Sounds familiar? well it is the type of sharp practice that David Cameron and his supporters are using to press forward with the E.U. dictates.
Just consider the following statements from the Stonger in EU and remain camps.
- 3 Million UK jobs are linked to our trade with the E.U.
- The UK gets £66 Million of investment every day from E.U. Countries
- For every £1 we put into the E.U, we get almost £10 back
- The benifits of being in the EU, £3000 per household through lower prices, More trade, Jobes & Investment.
- You save £350 every year because being in the EU means lower prices.
The pro-E.U. camps really do appear to be practicing Willful Blindness.
The stronger in campain et al would have us believe that the above statments are true but these are designed to cloak the issue’s, Just think we are losing our industrial heritage such as our steel and fishing industries, our flexability as a working nation is being restrained by crippling E.U. regulations, we are being financially drained. The denial by our government that the migrant crisis is not going to get worse if we stay in the E.U. and that we will be stronger if we remain. So the above statements are meaningless.
The government does not even know how many migrants we actually have in the U.K. saying that if we stay in we will have better control of our borders. We can therefore see why the the Pro-E.U. camps prefer to turn a blind eye to the facts.
